Magha Puja

Santikaram Association Slovakia

invites all friends and supporters to celebrate together the Magha Puja Day (also known as the "Sangha Day" or the "All Saints Day") on Sunday, 5th March 2023 at Santikaram Forest Temple. Magha Puja is the second most important festival after Vesak, celebrated on the full moon day of the third lunar month (February/March) in the South-East Asia countries.

Program:

16:00 opening the celebration, preparing requisites, serving tea

16:30 taking Refuge and Five Precepts

17:00 Dhamma-talk by Bhante Sati Santikaro

17:30 evening chanting and recitation of the special Pali texts

18:00 a guided meditation

18:30 candlelight procession and circumambulation around the Forest Temple

19:00 closing the celebration

Notices:

1. The event is free.

2. Everyone is welcome to visit the Forest Temple am morning and offer the breakfast/lunch or gift to Venerable monk/s.

3. There is also a possibility to overnight at the Forest Temple and celbrate the Full Moon Day on the next day (March 6) or continue with a meditation retreat. (In that case, don't forget to bring your own warm slippers.)
