Magha Puja 2026

Santikaram Forest Temple is inviting all friends and supporters to celebrate the Magha Puja Day (also known as the "Sangha Day" or the "All Saints Day") on Sunday, 15 March 2026 at Santikaram Forest Temple. Magha Puja is the second most important festival after Vesak, celebrated on the Full Moon Day of the third lunar month (February/March) in the South-East Asia countries.

Program:

11:00 offering lunch to Venerable monk/s, blessing

12:00 community lunch together

13:00 opening the celebration, taking Refuge and Five Precepts

13:30 Dhamma-talk

14:00 guided meditation

14:30 recitation of the special Pali texts

15:00 candlelight procession

15:30 sharing merits and blessing

16:00 cleaning the premises

17:00 closing the event

Notices:

1. The event is free.

2. Everyone is welcome to visit the forest temple am morning and offer the breakfast/lunch or gift to Venerable monk/s.

3. There is also a possibility to overnight at the forest temple and continue with a meditation retreat for a few days.
